Our Story
The EK Fund was founded to honour the lives of two beloved young men lost too soon to the challenges of mental health and addiction. Driven by a deep commitment to harm reduction and support for vulnerable youth, especially young Indigenous and marginalized men, the EK Fund aims to create meaningful change in the lives of those who need it most.
The EK Fund is dedicated to empowering young people by providing compassionate harm reduction resources, advocacy, and holistic support, helping them navigate the complexities of mental health and substance use. We strive to create a world where every youth has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of background or circumstances.
Our Mission
We understand the challenges that young people face today, especially those from Indigenous and underserved backgrounds, and we are passionate about being a source of hope and empowerment. The EK Fund stands as a beacon of support for young people, providing the resources and opportunities they deserve to live meaningful, fulfilled lives.
Through our work, we aim to honor the memory of those we've lost and create a brighter, more inclusive future for all youth.
Our Vision For The Future
The EK Fund envisions a future where every young person, regardless of background or circumstance, is empowered to overcome challenges, embrace their full potential, and live with dignity and purpose. We strive for a world where mental health, addiction, and harm reduction resources are accessible, compassionate, and culturally relevant, fostering a community of understanding, resilience, and hope for all youth, particularly Indigenous and marginalized young men.
