Our Story
Sweet Pea Event Services was born from the values of connection, spirit, and heritage. Growing up, everyone called me "Sweet Pea," a nickname given by my grandmother, who saw in me the gentle strength and beauty of the flowers. Every Sunday, I would walk to her home, gathering sweet peas along the way as a gift for her. Those moments were sacred to me, filled with stories about our family, and the traditions that have been passed down for generations.
As Indigenous people, our stories always emphasize the importance of community, the strength found in connection, and the deep, sacred ties we hold with the land. This inspired me to create a company that honors these values, where events are not just gatherings but an opportunity for people to come together in the spirit of shared experiences. I wanted Sweet Pea Event Services to be more than an event company; I wanted it to be a vessel for bringing people together, cultivating relationships that celebrate our stories and the spirit of connection.
At Sweet Pea Event Services, we approach each event with respect for the land and people, incorporating Indigenous traditions and values. We strive to create spaces that foster genuine connection, where people can be their true selves, and where each gathering holds the beauty and spirit of the sweet peas I once picked for my grandmother. This is more than business; it’s a tribute to my heritage, my family, and the bonds that unite us all.
